Working under the supervision of the Design and Naval Architecture management, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the modelling of various components and assemblies on board the Sunseeker range of Yachts. This could be anything from a door latch to a full automated swim platform, with projects ranging in complexity and size. This will be a hugely versatile role, working with both standard fit and custom items. 
Any one vessel can be made up of thousands of separate components, the engineering of which will be essential to their correct operation. You will need to be incredibly exact with the manner in which you work, operating to tight tolerances and ensuring your work will not lead to failure of the chose assembly. 
You will have gained your career experience within either the production boatbuilding world or large scale complex machinery builds such as Aerospace. An analytical individual, you'll be able to take a problem and find solutions that are both cost and space effective within the project. Furthermore, you'll be able to comfortably model your work within Siemens NX or similar, creating BOMs and production drawings for the workshop floor.

You will need to be skilled as a wet-lay GRP Laminator, having worked in a busy production facility. This doesn't necessarily need to be in a marine related field. Some weeks 1 or 2 days maybe required of you.  Other weeks there may only be a few hours late in the day on a Friday or a Thursday.
In December and January there are a few weeks of refit work antifouling, servicing winches, polishing, servicing pumps, cleaning etc. Sailing and qualifications a definite advantage but not essential.

This position would suit a driven and ambitious engineer, who not only possesses the skills required, but also the ambition to work at an incredibly high level with a real opportunity to be involved with a market leading brand. 
You will be required to have extensive fitting experience, working with large marine projects and understanding the standards required to work in high pressure and load marine environments. You'll be well versed with all manner of fixtures and fittings, including aerospace grade and have a strong understanding of hydraulics to boot. 
You'll be comfortable working with cutting and milling equipment to produce items from drawings supplied by the in-house team and then able to assemble using correct settings and tolerances. 
This is a hugely important and exciting role that could well lead to long term work in the future. 
Salary:

From this you will pass data through the wider system for the attention of management and department leads, producing risk assessments and building KPIs and targets for the shop floor team to work to. Exceptional attention to detail is key, as is an ability to take the data gained and process it into meaningful data that can be reviewed by all departments
To be considered for this position, you'll need to have gained a City and Guilds or similar in quality assurance. Internal auditing experience and lean management techniques would also be desirable however not essential. Furthermore, exposure to ISO 9001 and understanding its requirements would further benefit your application.

Senior Online Marketing Executive is being sought after to join a growing and busy marketing team in a well-respected UK Marina Owner and Operator on the South Coast.
 
You will be assisting the company in the acquisition of retention of customers via effective and cost efficient marketing and communication campaigns. You will be working on all aspects of our marketing activity but particularly on the execution of the Company’s online communications.
 
This role is accountable for executing the company’s day to day online communications plans and driving customer engagement through the Company’s websites. In order to be considered for the Online Marketing Executive position you will need to demonstrate:
  • Basic HTML / CSS knowledge (adjusting / developing email templates)
  • Contributing to web marketing plans 
  • Developing strategies to make use of online personalisation opportunities
  • Compiling and dispersing email/SMS via supplier platforms
  • Driving SEO strategies to successfully rank the Marina’s websites in the most cost efficient way
  • You will have gained experience in Social media, PR, Communications and Digital marketing. You need to have knowledge of Microsoft packages, MailChimp, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Using analytics to measure and report on campaigns
  • You will be successful at writing engaging content and will have experience of both content and copywriting. 
  • Ideally a degree in Business Studies, Marketing, PR or English
  • Ideally have a passion for the Marine Industry or have worked within it
This marketing position is ideal for someone who is already working in marketing and has 2 -3 years’ online experience adjusting / development html email templates ……You don’t need to be able to create the next great web app — but you do need to be able to tweak your content, fix some simple styling issues, and generally know the difference between anchor text and a boat anchor.
