The market for British Boatbuilding currently experiencing one of its busiest periods of recent years, with forward orders across the three major brands of in excess of £150m. 
Along with this extensive market growth, a lot of the boatbuilding world are now seeking to increase their staffing levels in order to cope with the requirements of the end customer.In this instance, our customer is one of the largest UK boatbuilders, producing craft ranging from 40ft upwards
They are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join their busy team to oversee and impliment the busy manufacturing operations planning across the business. This is a huge part of the brand and is the backbone that allows them to build to the volume and standard that they do. 
As a main focus, you will work with the management team to ensure optimum work flow and standardisation in line with pre-agreed KPIs. Constantly recording data against a number of fixed targets, you will be able to report back to your team on areas that excel, but also areas that require improvement in order to hit capacity. 
From this data collection, you will work with the manufacturing team to write new manufacturing plans, devise new strategy and to generally improve manufacture systems. 
As the ideal candidate for this role, you'll be a fast learner and someone who can look subjectively at a process and advise on how it can be improved. You'll be very computer literate both with MS systems and ERP/MRP, able to accurately record, document and generate reports for the eyes of management.
