Marine Resources are working with one of the most exciting brands on the South Coast! Responsible for the design and engineering of some of the most ambitious superyacht retrofit projects in the world, this exciting business is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Fitter for a period of 4-6 weeks to cover a busy period.
Responsible for taking an idea through the full product life cycle, projects are wide ranging from bow thrusters to rigging, Hydraulics to propulsion. Each item is meticulously manufactured, working to exacting tolerances and offering the best in terms of damping, control and efficiency.
This position would suit a driven and ambitious engineer, who not only possesses the skills required, but also the ambition to work at an incredibly high level with a real opportunity to be involved with a market leading brand.
You will be required to have extensive fitting experience, working with large marine projects and understanding the standards required to work in high pressure and load marine environments. You'll be well versed with all manner of fixtures and fittings, including aerospace grade and have a strong understanding of hydraulics to boot.
You'll be comfortable working with cutting and milling equipment to produce items from drawings supplied by the in-house team and then able to assemble using correct settings and tolerances.
This is a hugely important and exciting role that could well lead to long term work in the future.
Salary:
£14-15/hr to be paid weekly. Candidates will need to be able to either operate as a limited company or under an umbrella payroll service.
