An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Plymouth based Superyacht manufacturer requiring a Head of Logistics to manage, coach, train and develop a team of 60.
The successful candidate will strategically manage logistics, warehouse and transportation inline with targets of 100% OTIF delivery. You will design and deliver to optimise capacity, manage inventory control, minimise handling and damage of stock and develop the skills profile within Logistics.
Key Responsibilities –
- Report to Director of Purchasing and Logistics
- Maximise product throughput and introduce industry leading processes.
- Implement IT systems to evaluate and manage logistics team performance and track/accountability of parts supply.
- Build effective supplier relationships.
KPIs –
Delivery performance 100% OTIF, Pick rate efficiency, FIFO, Stock accuracy and inventory levels.
Person specification –
- Senior Logistics Management experience at a blue chip company level.
- Experience of introducing new MRP systems and technical solutions.
- Thoroug knowledge of Supply Chain Management.
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
- Health and Safety Management experience.
- Project Management
Hours: Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm (39 hours per week)
