Exciting multi million pound turnover company is looking for a new Business Development Manager to join their team. My client who specialises in offering bespoke platform solutions on the water, to a variety of clients.
They are growing rapidly, and looking to continue their growth with a more defined and structured approach.
The BDM reports to the MD with a focus of seeking out sales, growing existing customers and managing new account customers.
Responsibilities include:-
- Maximise European sales by actively owning relationships and being the main point of contact for all commercial, technical and after-sales support matters.
- Developing a cohesive market strategy for the region.
- Managing and driving quotes, tenders and orders across sales channels to successfully achieve a territorial annual budget target.
- Maintain accurate reporting and CRM database.
- Attend trade shows/ exhibitions.
- Assist with contract & tender negotiations.
- Travel within the region is expected to meet, lead, train and support customers.
- This role will involve regular travel throughout Europe and potentially other overseas destinations.
About You:-
- Equally as important as the skills you bring to this role, is the cultural fit you bring to our organisation.
- We are looking for an experienced individual, with demonstrated experience in technical sales. Naturally you will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a self-motivated attitude.
Other requirements of the role are:
- Experienced in the preparation of tender and quote responses.
- Proven history of successfully delivering sales growth.
- Proven experience in Building Relationships.
- Ideally from an Engineering Background and understand water / marine environment.
- Relevant professional qualification such as a degree, NVQ level 4 in Sales Management, ISMM Level 5 Diploma in Sales & Account Management etc.
- A 2nd European language skill highly desirable.
