BUYER – £26,000-£30,000pa - SOUTH, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, a leading small boat manufacturer in the South, is currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to work within their fast paced office.

Role overview:
Managing the procurement of all products, parts and services purchased by the company, including the following:
  • Placing and maintaining purchase orders
  • Negotiating supplier discounts
  • Scheduling deliveries according to the information supplied by the Production department
  • Sourcing and recommending alternative products and suppliers on a cost/quality basis
  • Matching supplier invoices, delivery notes and purchase orders
  • Recommending stock levels (based on monitoring by the stores team)
  • Expediting order deliveries, shared with the stores and production departments depending on the type of material.
Candidates must:
  • Have relevant procurement experience in the small boat building sector
  • Have good knowledge of the leisure marine and Superyacht sectors
  • Have an outgoing, confident personality
  • Interviews will be taking place over the next couple of weeks, with a view to the successful candidate starting at the beginning /middle of October.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, well known name within the marine sector at a time when they are planning to grow the company.
SALARY

£26,000 - £30,000 pa
