CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - OMAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

High level Strategy Support  -  on commercial aspects of Oman Sail, New Projects,  and Drive New Business Development
Operations - Managing and Leading the logistics, shipping, Contract & Procurement functions.
  • Lead & provide high level of strategy support  to the new projects/ new business as per the 2012-2020 plan, or as directed by the CEO
  • Provide high level strategy support to the commercial aspects of the business as per the plan 2012-2020 or as directed by the CEO
  • Advise the management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
  • Establish  & lead the support and Operations function
  • Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services (internal & external customers)
  • Develop Company Crisis Management and take charge/ lead  in Crises Management
  • Ensure that all Company directorates and especially the sailing teams are given comprehensive logistical support
  • To ensure that departmental systems and processes are compliant with company policy and procedure;
  • Ensure all departments receive the technical and maintenance support required;
  • Manage and develop the Operations team to fulfill departmental objectives.
  • Ensure that Company Assets and staff are fully equipped with insurance, equipment, registration, licenses and communication tools required to fulfil their objectives.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budge including leading cost saving initiatives and innovative/ creative  ideas
Skills & Attributes       
  • Graduate or Post Graduate Management degree with 12-15 years of experience, of which at least 5 in an executive level position
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
  • Strong financial  & analytical skills
  • Good strategic and planning acumen  and strong organizational skills
SALARY
