JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the technical delivery of the Oman performance sailing programme, with specific attention to the Laser Team.

Understand and drive Oman Sail's goals and objectives, specifically the company's 2020 plan and the 2024 Olympic Plan.

Constantly make improvements to ensure the coaching structure is as effective as possible.
Work closely with the youth programme, to ensure the best possible athletes are being promoted through the pathway.
Provide technical advice to the National Sailing Team Manager in regard to planning and evaluation for all disciplines.
Coach the Senior Laser Team and ensure that they have clear goals and objectives.
Create and deliver an annual performance plan for the Senior Laser team.
Achieve the performance targets of the Senior Laser team.
Be responsible for creating and delivering the above programme.
Take an active role in the youth programme and pass on knowledge and advice to the Omani Youth Coaches.
Manage the selection process when more sailors are needed for the Oman National Sailing Team. Specifically selecting correct athletes that have come through the youth sailing programme.
Coordinate with all the disciplines and ensure that all athletes have a full time programme throughout the year. This is essentially for the athletes whose programme is not based in Oman (i.e. Extreme 40).
