JOB DESCRIPTION
Lewmar is a long established and leading UK based manufacturer of leisure boating equipment.

Based in Havant, Hampshire with 2 manufacturing & engineering sites, Lewmar supply a network of Marine Distributors throughout Europe and around the world.

We are growing our business and looking for a smart, motivated, sales focused individual to join our distribution sales team. The successful candidate will have every opportunity to develop their role into a more senior account management position as experience and knowledge progresses.

The candidate will have/be:

.  Experience of the marine industry and/or marine products.
.  Degree qualified or a comparable level of intellect.
.  Computer literate with competence in Excel, Word & Powerpoint
.  Polite, articulate and 'customer friendly'
.  Language skills beneficial but not essential.
.  An ability to converse professionally and confidently over the phone and face to face in a sales and negotiating environment.
.  An enthusiasm for working in a diverse environment which includes some international travel.
.  A self-starter that is organised, structured and able to work under pressure both in a team and on their own.


Reporting to the Distribution Sales Manager, you would be responsible for day to day support of the customer base. You will proactively seek out new sales opportunities and support the customer account managers in their management of key clients as well as being directly responsible for a number of customers throughout Europe and beyond.

The role may suit somebody already working in retail or distribution sales (ideally in the marine industry) who is looking for the next step in their career. You should demonstrate a desire to learn, that you want to win, that you are seeking to build a long term career within a major UK marine business which can lead to other opportunities and that you have a positive 'can do' approach no matter how difficult a task.

You will be pushed outside your comfort zone, but hard work and results will be rewarded.

Starting salary is dependent on previous experience but guideline of £19,000 -to £25,000 GBP per year. Salary will progress as the role develops.
