JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client has a new position within the company, the main purpose of which is to provide overall management of all vessels operated, chartered, and owned by the client, it enables the company to meet and wherever possible exceed the demands of the business and its clients in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

The candidate will ensure that all Party Chief’s / Offshore Project Managers provide effective leadership and management on vessels and that the employees in the candidates team provide the necessary support to ensure successful completion of projects within time and financial parameters.

The candidate will develop and maintain successful communications between all relevant personnel such as Clients, Project Managers, Party Chief’s/Offshore Project Managers, Masters and departmental managers taking overall responsibility for mobilisations and demobilisations of vessels. The successful candidate will ensure that all processes and procedures within the Operations Department are properly followed such as ISM, IMS and QA.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

•     Experience in operating at a senior management level
•     Management teams and people
•     Dealing with a wide range of personnel and customers.
•     Commercial acumen
•     Proven leadership
•     Management experience and/or a relevant qualification,
•     Degree in a marine related industry and/or Class 1 Certificate of Competency.

It is desirable that candidates will have:

•     Company service related qualification within marine surveying.
•     Excellent verbal and written communication
•     Organisational skills that will enable you to work to strict commercial deadlines.

The position is a shore based role and will be based at our clients head quarters in Norfolk. You will be required to visit vessels as part of your managerial role on a worldwide scale, to promote communication and inter-department as well as inter-company relations relating to the effective running of the vessels. This will involve travel and some working away, coordinating projects.

Salary

Up to £45,000pa
