JOB DESCRIPTION
Working with small craft marine engines and drive systems (Mainly Volvo Penta).
Responsible for servicing, repairing, fault finding and fully overhauling engines, gearboxes and outdrives.

Work will be both workshop based at our Boat Yard and on site (on boats) mainly within our 20 mile radius catchment area from our Boat Yard.

Working alone and working with a small team of very experienced engineers.

Hours of work are from 8.00 am until 4.30 pm weekdays. Any hours after this will paid at overtime rates.

Requirements:

•     Secondary education certificates for English, Maths and Science or a Technical subject.
•     NVQ / City and Guilds certificates in Mechanical / Engineering Subjects / Skills.
•     Time served Mechanical Engineering apprentice.
•     Marine Engineering experience and Volvo Penta Engine experience desirable.
•     12/24 Volt electrical systems experience.
•     Electronic Engine Management Systems experience.
•     Polite and courteous manner.
•     Driving licence.

Overtime work is always available from March through to May.
