| JOB DESCRIPTION |
My client is a globally recognised organisation with in the shipping industry and has recently had a new opening. The position is for a Senior Technical Superintendent with a focus on Offshore Vessel.
The role
As a technical superintendent you can expect to
- prepare, supervise and guide dockings/repair jobs
- provide day-to-day technical supervision
Other duties:
- Drawing up final reports and advice on necessary technical improvements.
- Helping the crew with technical problems on board.
- Logistics control.
Education & Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Marine Engineering or similar.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Strong knowledge technically & operationally of Offshore vessels with the experience of sailing with DP2 systems.
- Excellent project management skills, ideally gained through ship new building projects.
- A experience in maritime or shipbuilding repairs, preferably abroad or experience as a chief engineer with a certification ‘All ships’.
- Experience with executing repairs.
- Advanced knowledge of the local and regional market of technical subcontractors & suppliers.
- Team work and cooperation.
- Candidate must be fluent in speaking English and ideally have an understanding of Dutch
- Very good organisational & commercial skills.
- Good command of German would be beneficial.
- PC literacy
Salary
70,000 to 85,000 Euros
