A Sales Support Assistant is required to join a thriving, dynamic marine business on the South Coast.  Preferably from a marine background, with a general knowledge of power and sail vessels, you will be responsible for the day to day support of the distribution sales team.  This is an exciting new role for someone with ambitions to progress in technical marine sales.  
You will have the opportunity to manage your own accounts and training will be provided. An understanding of retail and discounted pricing, margins, budgets and sales targets is key.  
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of Microsoft office and experience in working with some form of database system (AXAPTA, Sales Force, Xeries).  A confident telephone manner is essential.
You must possess the ability to manage and prioritise your time effectively as you will be required to work across multiple projects, adapting to the needs of the business.
Key responsibilities
 Field the majority of sales call that come into the office and see them through to resolve. 
 Creation of quotes and pro forma invoices to send to customers. 
 Critical Path – Order progress & manufacturing lead time checking, dispatch information.
 Warranty order checking – seeing through to completion.
 Confirming of pricing, manufacturing times and general product information to distribution customers.  
 Offer basic technical assistance 
 Creation of sales presentations for the sales team.
 Some national and international travel maybe required from time to time.
 Periodic involvement in marketing projects, social media updates. International and National Boat Show Support – travel and set up of exhibition stands

£20,000
