Sunseeker International, leaders in the luxury yachtbuilding market, are continuing to strengthen their expert team based in Poole, with a hiring requirement for a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager.
Building close to 140 boats a year, with prices ranging from £400,000 to in excess of £15 million, there is a constant need to use external suppliers for a wide range of products and services within the company. External supplier spend exceeds £100m/year, so an expert team is required to manage these relationships.
The position of Supplier Quality Assurance Manager is based on company growth rather than replacement, showing that Sunseeker are continuing to grow in the competitive international market. This is a key role as the company continue to grow and will cover a range of duties, including:
– Implementation of corrective procedure
– External supplier relationship management
– Team Leadership

You'll work with both internal and external teams to ensure that all documentation going back and forth is of the correct standard, develop and evolve quality standards across the external suppliers and using root cause analysis, track the progress of relationships, managing positives and negatives throughout.
Using APQP and PPAP methods, you'll also work in terms of forward planning and future model introduction, ensuring suppliers are able to work closely with you both SQ and Procurement to commit to and meet production requirements.
A skilled and technical individual, you're background will be engineering focussed, with experienced gained in a lead supplier quality role within Marine, Aero or Automotive industries. You'll have had extensive exposure to lean management and problem solving and Failure Mode Analysis tools, showing a clear understanding of all thats required to run an SQA department.
