We're working with a major brand within the superyacht world at present to source a number of highly skilled individuals to work on a large superyacht project. 
With the world of superyacht interiors being big business, projects often lead well into the millions and with yachts far exceeding 100m in length and therefore needing extensive outfitting with incredibly valuable materials in order to meet the needs of the owner, 
With quality of work the key factor, you'll need to have worked extensively on either new build or refit projects within the luxury yacht world. You'll be installing incredibly high value joinery and furniture, so a certain degree of care and attention to what you do is paramount. 
This is an exceptional opportunity in that our client will be covering return travel to Qatar, accommodation on site and 3 meals per day. You'll be paid in GBP for your work and will need to be able to employed either as a Limited company or with an umbrella service.
The requirement for these post is immediate, so interested candidates MUST be prepared to travel within the coming weeks and potentially happy to work away over the Christmas period.
Salary:

A large Yacht sales and service centre based in Asia is currently seeking an experienced Service and Warranty Engineer to join their skilled team, based from their Thailand Outlet. 
As new agents for a number of International brands, as well as an extensive brokerage listings, the company operates across the Asia region, offering sales, service, warranty and aftersales support to its extensive customer base. With a range of high-end products on sale there is a huge focus on the customer, from initial enquiry through to delivery, with all stages of the process having to pass a high standard of service and execution. 
The role of the Service/Warranty Engineer will take the boat from its initial arrival on-site. This could be PDI from factory arrival along with the fit of any dealer-fit options, through to repair and maintenance work on a newly received stock brokerage boat. Furthermore the existing customer base will also be returning for either site or factory-approved warranty works, from electrical to GRP, mechanical to furniture. 
The company are seeking a highly skilled individual with the following expertise:
– Faultfinding knowledge – Electrical and Mechanical. Both with electronic faultfinding systems and through hands-on testing
– Comissioning Experience – Either at factory level or as a dealer fitting out non-factory options
– Warranty Claims – Experience in receiving, processing and verifying claims for mechanical, electrical, furniture and GRP repair.
You will have likely gained a City & Guilds in Engineering and an amount of supplier training in order to have gained the above experience, however any extra formal training gained will also be a huge positive. 
Whilst the role will be predominantly based from the service centre, you will need to be able to speak with owners from time to time, so an approachable manner will be key, as will an ability to speak in terms that can be widely understood (not too technical)
As this role is Asia-based, you will need to either be already based in the region, or prepared to relocate. The employer will assist with relocation costs for the applicant only, as well as cover any Visa applications. Please be aware that family relocation is not offered and would therefore be  at your own cost.

Reporting to the Department head, you'll be joining a business that is enjoying a very busy period, including growing sales of their existing range as well as the design and development of new models. 
The bulk of your work will be to produce detailed engineering plans and calculations for the production team. This could include tooling, interiors, engineering/mechanical and laminate work. You'll be working across the entire vessel to oversee a range of different projects, either as updates or in terms of total new design. 
Coming from a background in either Superyacht, Semi-custom or a Production Boatbuilding, you'll be well versed with GRP Boatbuilding, classification guidelines and overall boat design. Description: Job Requirements:
  • 5+ Years Boat Rigging Experience
  • Excellent knowledge of marine, yacht and sailing industry.

  • Ability to splice most ropes.

Our client is based in one of the busiest Superyacht hubs in the Med, working in both design and manufacture for various projects within the superyacht world, from a Carbon bowsprit to a full stern extension. Their experience in this market has been gained through years of working with some of the biggest names in Composite Boatbuilding and building a brand name in a tough market. 
As a candidate, you'll have gained your experience within the marine composites world, having worked on performance yacht or large yacht projects and able to engineer a range of solutions across this market. You'll be able to design various composite Structural and Non-structural parts, using CFD, FEA and more in order to ensure that each project is correctly tested and cleared for use. 
You'll be experienced with Rhino or Solidworks, along with FEA softwares. A quick thinker and able to work on multiple projects at a time, you'll have the opportunity to craft some beautiful pieces for the brands' customers. 
Furthermore, as the design office is above the manufacturing site, you'll be able to see your work made a reality!

As a Master 3,000GRT or higher, you will be experienced in commercial maritime operations and have the relevant seagoing qualifications (STCW ENG1 GMDSS etc.) all valid and in-date.  
You will ideally have experience in the merchant shipping sector.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and their representatives as well as being able to provide crew training and conducting drill routines. 
Extensive experience in the ISM code and safety management systems is desirable. 
As the Yard Captain, you will be responsible for all sea going and dockside trials as well as vessel movements when required. You will be the Captain on post production sea trials and subsequent delivery trips. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring vessel compliance at all times, conducting Load Line Exemption and Flag State surveys, all auditing, vessel handovers, class inspections etc. 
You will be responsible for ensuring open communication with all relevant governing bodies and maintaining compliance in accordance with legislation.
Occasional weekend work and overseas travel may be required.

  • Managing and driving quotes, tenders and orders across sales channels to successfully achieve a territorial annual budget target.

  • Travel within the region is expected to meet, lead, train and support customers.
  • This role will involve regular travel throughout Europe and potentially other overseas destinations.

About You:-

  • We are looking for an experienced individual, with demonstrated experience in technical sales. Naturally you will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a self-motivated attitude.
Other requirements of the role are:
  • Experienced in the preparation of tender and quote responses.
  • Proven history of successfully delivering sales growth.
  • Proven experience in Building Relationships.
  • Ideally from an Engineering Background and understand water / marine environment.
