Here is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated watersports instructor to take a leadership role in China's premier sailing centre. You will enjoy travel to the Far East, learn Chinese and experience working in a country where watersports is in its infancy as part of a team working to increase participation in a range of watersports within China.

 China has for 5000 years been cut off from the West and consequently you will find that everything is different here even the simplest things like the way to open a banana (they consider the stalk to be a handle and open from the other end). If you want to come here then come with an open mind, explore and discover these intrinsic cultural differences. It will be completely different to anything you may expect and is full of interesting experiences.

Beijing Sailing Centre is the leading sailing school in China offering courses following international guidelines at multiple locations across China. We are recruiting a full time Director of Sailing. You will be a competent and qualified multi-activity watersports instructor holding at least a senior dinghy instructor certificate, who is looking to step up in your watersports career.

Applications from individuals who have experienced multi-activity centres will be most successful.

We operate multiple centres across China: On the coast adjacent to Beijing, on a lake in Shanghai, on a Shenzhen beach (nearby Hong Kong), plus more - so there is the possibility to experience working in multiple and varied environments.

In this full time role, you will take charge of sailing activities across all of our centres, including recruitment, staff development, safety standards and the customer experience. Whilst at times of peak demand, you may be expected to lead by example as an instructor on the water.

Our package includes flights, visas, food, accommodation and Chinese lessons. As we are a young and developing business you will need to flexible and be able to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.
