JOB DESCRIPTION
Clipper Ventures is an international marine events company promoting round the world yacht racing. Famed for the world's only amateur global race, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, which features 16 individual races over eight legs. The company also owns the rights to the professional solo round the world race VELUX 5 OCEANS, as well as running a corporate events division Clipper Events and a world-class training programme Clipper Training.

Clipper Ventures is chaired by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first man to sail single-handed and non-stop around the world.

The role is to assist the Fleet Operations Manager in the care of the 12 70' Round the World Race yachts as well as the fleet of 68' ex-race yachts which are used for both training and corporate events.  It will involve but not be limited to; liaising with suppliers and third parties, sourcing and purchasing equipment, processing requisitions, allocating and delivering equipment to the yachts, ensuring all coding paperwork is kept up to date, working with the technical team and liaising with the skippers, mates and crew. 

The position would suit a highly organised individual with the ability to work within a team but who is also able to work on their own initiative.  The successful applicant must be flexible and hardworking with great attention to detail, computer literate and possess good paperwork skills.

Common sense and knowledge of sailing yachts and their parts is a distinct advantage as is previous experience of working in an office environment.

There is some physical exertion required in moving equipment between sites and in the stores area therefore a decent level of physical fitness would be desirable as would a full driving licence.
