JOB DESCRIPTION
A global shipping company with over 50 offices all over the world, operating in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia are looking for a Business Development Professional. This is a forward looking company who have invested into their own infrastructure from their IT right through to their e-commerce systems. This company has over 50 years track record to draw upon and an excellent reputation.

The will be based from home and will have an initial target based of the UK, Netherlands and Germany.

The key accountabilities are as follows:

 Develop and secure new business opportunities for selling a complete range of IT and Supply Chain solutions, products and services to maximise the revenue return
  Identify potential new corporate customers using own customer network, leads from trade journals, referrals, and general market knowledge
  Manage the deal cycle in Account Planning, Relationship Management, Opportunity/Demand Pipeline Management, Developing Proposal, and Deal Closing
  Understand customer’s needs and challenges, derive the customer value proposition, realise the customer Return On Investment, and facilitate customer value creation
   Develop relationships with regional/local offices of global accounts and ensure complete customer satisfaction
   Act as project sponsor for integration projects, ensuring projects proceed expeditiously and that projected returns are met
   Provide market feedback on product improvements to the Product Management group
   Account serving for top carriers accounts, maintaining the relationship and building up rapport with key accounts

The job requirements are as follows:

 Minimum 10 years of solid sales experience with a successful track record in Forwarding/ Logistics/Transportation /Shipping /e-Commerce business sectors. Technology background is preferable
  Well-established clients network in the forwarding / logistics/ trade / transportation sectors is desirable
  Strategic thinking and attention to details
  Proficient in conducting presentations to corporate senior management level

A clean driving license is also required.

Salary

£55,000 to £65,000
