JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician shall report directly to the Head of Maintenance for all day to day activities.

Clipper Ventures currently operates a fleet of 8 x 68ft racing yachts and 12 x 72ft racing yachts. The Maintenance Technician shall have responsibilities for the fleet whilst in the UK and for providing logistics support whilst the racing fleet are undertaking the RTW race.

Some of the key attributes of the Maintenance Technician are:
In depth knowledge of yachts and yacht systems including mechanical, electric, electronic, navigation, satellite communication and plumbing systems.
Highly organised.
Ability to plan and create budgets and then keep to them.
In depth knowledge of SCV coding requirements and MCA legal requirements.
Ability to negotiate best prices with suppliers.
Knowledge of basic boat building skills and commissioning of boats.
Sailing experience and qualifications a distinct advantage.
Clean, current drivers licence required.
