JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is opening a new, world class Maritime Training Centre, situated in a beautiful 5* resort area of East Africa that has found the need for a time served STCW 95 Fire Fighting Instructor. The Centre is set to initially offer STCW 95 courses and has plans to expand the range of courses available making this an exciting time to aid in developing the centre.

The delight of this role is it is for a strong and successful company that like to play as hard as they work.

The initial role of this STCW 95 Fire Fighting Instructor will be to Commission this state-of-the-art centre and aid the centre in acquiring MCA Approval.

The day to day role of the successful candidate will be to write, implement, teach and assess the 1.20 Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting Portion of the STCW 95 course.
It will also be highly beneficial if the candidate is also qualified to teach:

1.13 Elementary First Aid
1.19 Personal Survival Techniques
1.21 Personal Safety & Social Resposibility
3.27 Security Awareness for All Seafarers

The Successful candidate would ideally have either a PTTLLS Certificate, CTLLS Certificate or have completed the IMO 6.09 Training Course for Instructors.
HOWEVER – if the successful candidate does not have a civilian teaching qualification, the client is prepared to put you through the appropriate course.

The successful candidate MUST have at least 2 years experience in a teaching capacity aboard vessels/offshore, ideally from a Navy or Merchant Navy background.

It would be beneficial if the candidate had any RYA Instructors qualifications that could be put to good use.

This is a full time role on a 2 year Contract, negotiable, in a very safe zone of Eastern Africa, an excellent location to take part in water sports, game fishing and diving. Work Visa will be arranged by the client for the successful candidate. Fully furnished and serviced accommodation is available close to the facility at a very reasonable cost.
N.B. You can expect to visit the location before committing.

Salary

£DOE – TAX FREE SALARY + CAR
