JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client requires an enthusiastic Sales Manager to oversee the Sales team and trusted dealer/distributor network in delivering the highest quality products to a very demanding market.
You must have a good understanding of the market to drive new sales, and get a thorough understanding of new opportunities for our products throughout the industry. These opportunities are to be shared with the CEO, along with any feedback on existing product ranges.
Assist the company in a yearly plan for development, sharing the demands from the industry and key customers, whilst managing the sales team and agents on their individual targets and supporting them where necessary to win tenders.
They must build a good understanding of our market share and competitors activities.
A Mechanical / Electrical engineering background is essential, as a level of support is to be given to both the sales team directly and the dealers and distributors throughout Europe.
Work with the CEO and management team to understand area’s within the global market where our client can expand, and assist with setting up new partners/sales representatives in that area, providing full training and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Sales Team and Global Distributors / agents for the General Marine division.
Work to and set sales targets for the division, and the reps
Provide product training where necessary
Boat Show management – Overseeing the European Boat shows, and attending where necessary.
Work with the Marketing department to Support the Team and Distributors with sales and marketing material.
Report Directly to the CEO
Build and maintain a good relationship with customer base.
Create new customer opportunities
Push products into new applications within the industry
Understanding the core products and their application, assisting with technical support to both the sales reps and clients direct.
Share market feedback to products, trends and opportunities direct to CEO
Assist with market research for new product development
Key Skills / Requirements
Must have a good knowledge of Marine industry in UK and Europe.
Candidate must be based in the UK office, and willing to travel when required
Degree in engineering preferred but experience also accepted
5 Years Experience in Sales management, with good track record
Salary
£35,000 OTE £60,000
