JOB DESCRIPTION
The Client
The position is for a successful and very well established yacht management and consultancy service provider, who are currently looking after a number of superyachts around the world, as well as providing their service to the ship and passenger vessel industry.

The number of yachts that the client will look after can fluctuate depending on recommendations from other captains.

The Job
The position is for a technical manager who holds a class 1 engine certificate unlimited, who has experience on either superyachts or passenger ships. You will be expected to work with the Director of the company as well as the other members of the team on the various vessels that they are managing at the time.

The position will require you to have the ability to prepare and review practical procedures, checklists and instructions.

There will be the requirement for you to travel to where the superyachts or commercial vessels are based to conduct surveys and speak to the captain on a technical level

The Candidate
The successful candidate will need to have been shore based for the last 12 months working for a superyacht or commercial vessel consultancy, and having served as a high rank on either passenger ships or superyachts.

You will need to hold a Class one Certificate in Engineering as well as being able to communicate with Flag States, surveyors, captains and client representatives. You will also need to be analytical with good writing skills.

It will be required that you will have to do roughly 5 days per month traveling to the locations of the vessels, you may be asked to be on call over the weekends if the director is unable to do the job.

Salary

£50,000 - £55,000
Pension after 12 months of service
