JOB DESCRIPTION
The Company
One of the most successful and active marinas on the east coast is currently in a position to be offering an engineering workshop manager a position within the company.
The marina is still run by one of the founders of the business in 1972. The marina is currently holding 300 vessels but has the ability to hold 500 vessels at maximum capacity.
As a marina there are many dimensions to what they can offer from berthing through to engineering as well as other facilities on site.
The Role
The position will be managing and overseeing a team of 11 engineers in the workshop, with the opportunity for that to grow over the next few years, as well as being very hands on.
To be successful for the position you are going to need to demonstrate the following attributes;
Managerial skills for teams of various sizes
Effectively communicate with all members of the team as well as external suppliers
To be hands on with the work that needs to be carried out, from various engine types, inboard, outboard, stern drive, jet drive and many more
Analytical to the work that is done by all members of the team and making sure that all notes and job sheets are up to date.
Prepared to offer training and coaching to other team members as well as keeping them up to date with the latest rules and regulations.
Can do a form of marketing that is aimed at the current berth holders for their engineering requirements e.g. servicing your outboard/inboard
Computer literate to assist in invoicing and contacting customers
Salary
£35,000 - £45,000 + package or benefits
29 days holiday which includes statutory amount.
