JOB DESCRIPTION
A global shipping company with over 50 offices all over the world, operating in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia are looking for a Technical Fleet Superintendent. This is a forward looking company who have invested into their own infrastructure from their IT right through to their e-commerce systems. This company has over 50 years track record to draw upon and an excellent reputation.

The Role;
This is to cover the European operations of a global shipping company, to monitor and superintend ship performance and the implementation of planned maintenance systems of assigned vessels to assure the companies policies, guidelines and procedures.

The basics of the role includes, monitor and superintend shipboard management, drive for optimum productivity of maintenance and repair works, to prepare annual budgets, keep cost efficiency, to conduct ship performance and technical analysis.

Also included in this role is to assist nautical safety audit, perform internal audit on vessels and investigate claims matters relating to hull and machinery and protection & indemnity insurance.

The Candidate Requires;
You would need to have been a shipboard Chief Engineer or / and a Degree in Marine Engineering with related disciplines.
At least 5 years experience of marine engineering and shipboard management, with experience of ship inspections, ship repairs, dockings with reporting.
In regards to the accreditations, familiar with quality assurance standards and understanding of ISM, SOLAS, ISPS.
Accreditations ISM/ISO auditor would be very beneficial for performing internal audit to fleet vessels as part of the jobs accountability.
Excellent communication skills, computer literate
Analytical and problem solving mind set
In addition experience of travelling to various locations is required, additional languages would really help, including Chinese.

This role will be home based, but a lot of time travelling is a pre-request, you must be eligible to work within the EU.
