Royal Varuna Yacht Club is Thailand’s Premier International Yacht Club located on the eastern seaboard near Pattaya, one and a half hours from Bangkok. The club has world class facilities and infrastructure to support sailing in the Gulf of Thailand, such as regular international racing events and on-site sailing school, in addition to supporting the large membership base.

The Sailing School serves members and guests, both Expatriates and Thai Nationals, including partnerships with International Schools and Sailing Teams. There is a junior programme starting from beginners to the ‘racing team’ whom compete at International events, with the club moving to apply for accredited training in the next 12 months.

Royal Varuna Yacht Club is looking to employ a new Sailing Instructor and/or Racing Coach, a versatile and professional person to join the existing team and help increase sailing participation within the club and Thailand, supporting events such as World Championships and everyday management of resources. It’s an exciting opportunity for any enthusiastic person working in a growing establishment.

The position is for a full season from October to June, with consideration for longer employment.

Main duties/responsibilities:

Sailing tuition for members and guests
Help develop RVYC Junior Sailing Programme including partnerships with International Schools
Assist in developing the club to meet standards required for International Accreditation.
Management of equipment and resources, maintenance of 52 club boats and 7 ribs
Assist during club events and international World Championships, including Race Management
Requirements:
RYA Dinghy Instructor (preferable Senior Instructor)
Candidates preferred with Racing endorsement, RYA Race Coach Level 2 or racing experience
RYA Powerboat Level 2 and First Aid
Undertake full CRB check
Driving license
Flexible with working hours
Good relationship with Thai staff and members

Salary negotiable on application
