JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Marketing Assistant/PA
Reporting To: Sales Manager/Managing Director
Provide PA support to the Managing Director and Sales Manager and support marketing activity within the business.
JOB CONTENT
Maintain the CRM system inputting new leads as gathered by the sales team
Work with sales manager to promote sales of new and pre-owned boats
Work on the company stand at Local, National and International boat shows at the request of the Sales Manager
Improve and maintain effective marketing practices that constantly improve opportunities
Keep yourself up to date with product and competitor knowledge (including competitor activity)
Prepare competitor analysis as required
Plan and carry out marketing activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales
Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail
Monitor and report on marketing activities and provide relevant management information. Measure outputs/results from each campaign
Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys
Report on success of marketing channels
Provide a high quality secretarial and organisational support
Effective Management of electronic diaries, assessing priority of appointments and reallocation as necessary
Provide support for meetings. This will include preparing agendas, pre-meeting briefings and meeting information, noting action points and following them up
Provide Word processing correspondence, letters, emails and reports together with preparation of presentations
Receive and dealing with telephone calls professionally, re-directing or taking messages and using initiative to deal with queries
Sorting, distributing and responding or drafting responses to incoming mail in a timely and efficient manner
Acting as a key liaison point between the Sales Manager and Managing Director and other key parties setting up meetings and maintaining good communications
Making travel arrangements, booking accommodation and processing claims for expenses
To keep communications open with the other functions at all times
To observe all company policies
To handle all documentation promptly and accurately
Maintain quality standards
To ensure records are accurately maintained
Create reports as required
Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally
File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned
Set personal targets to stretch those set by your Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience of working within a powerboat marketing department is desirable

Ability to demonstrate initiative
A flexible approach and the ability to work to strict deadlines
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
