JOB DESCRIPTION
A leading Chandlery which manufacture, specify and source marine equipment for commercial and leisure use require a Manager for their store in Scotland.

This position will require leadership of the sales and staff while overseeing all marine store duties. The position will require dedication and drive to grow sales both in the Leisure and Commercial departments whilst also supporting the sales within the company as a whole. The Marine Store manager will be expected to have strong interpersonal skills including excellent retail ability and be competent in IT skills.

The right candidate for this role will be required to;

•     Lead the marine store team and support them in completing their roles within the company
•     Achievement of Leisure Marine objectives
•     Support the development and growth of business
•     Report sales performance  and results of  as set out by line manager in a timely fashion
•     Meet and Greet shop customers in a professional and friendly manner and work with all staff to do the same.
•     Take and process orders, resolve customer service issues and identify other sales opportunities
•     Identify product gaps, product improvement issues and service delivery issues
•     Liaise on behalf of your department with other departments on customer sales and service issues
•     Complete PADP on all staff in your department and be responsible for their training and development
•     Support all staff in your department in growth and development to provide our clients with the best possible service.
•     Operate and complete tasks as well as train all staff new and existing on all procedures and working instructions as implemented as part of the companies services.
•     Work closely with and in partnership with ASM`s and support agreed working partnership.
•     Be an active member of the Sales Leadership Team
•     Identify business opportunities for other business units within the Group
•     Promote the company in a positive manner at all times
•     Work on local marketing plans for Retail store
•     Support product champion in leisure marine range giving constructive feedback and support as required.
•     Full responsibility for all matters relating to Health and Safety within your team, the store and customers there in.

You will be reporting to the Sales Director.

You will have the Internal Sales Team of your department reporting to you.

The Candidate for this role must have;

•     Key Competencies, Skills, Experience and/or Training
•     5-7 years of experience in Retail sales management.
•     Understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
•     Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
•     High level of IT ability to allow smooth PC operation
•     Team management skills to get best from Retail sales teams

Salary
 £32,000 - £35,000
