JOB DESCRIPTION
Harken is a long established global market leader in yacht equipment who is now diversifying into a wide range of industrial market places.  

JOB DESCRIPTION

    Develop new and existing sales opportunities within the commercial marine industry from initial enquiry through to final completion.  
    Identify specific development projects, promoting solutions to maximize sales growth.
    Prepare detailed technical quotations/presentations for identified projects.
    Work closely with the in-house project management team to maintain a high quality delivery service, meeting the technical and quality expectations of the client.
    Manage the contractual & relevant payment terms of projects.
    Monitor target measures and report the sales performance on a monthly basis with a quarterly forecast report.
    Maintain a database of all projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will;

•         Organise sales visits and liaise with existing clients.
•         Identify and establish new business.
•         Liaise with the global Harken team in manufacturing and engineering to ensure products are developed and delivered in support of the customer requirements.
•         Support the sales process with technical solutions.
•         Prepare tenders, proposals and quotations.
•         Provide pre-sales and after-sales support.
•         Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions.
•         Review cost and sales performance.
•         Write reports and contribute to sales literature.
•         Provide technical product education and advice.
•         Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings.
•         Ensure that sales targets are met.  

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS
You will need to be:

•     Strongly self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to drive projects & sales campaigns to conclusion.
•     Experienced in sales to the commercial marine industry including motor yachts, workboats, tenders, RIBs & small craft.  
•     Technically minded.
•      A strong communicator with team-working skills.
•      Organised with good planning & reporting skills.
•      Conversant with relevant market H&S legislation.
•      Practical experience of industrial rigging and load handling.
•      Educated to at least degree level or have relevant experience.
•      Experienced with new business development & commercially aware.
•       A full driving license is essential.

Package: £25k - £30k dependent on experience.
