JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview

To have complete responsibility for engine related projects, either carried out on client’s sites, or workshop overhauls. This will include involvement during survey and quotation stage with responsibility once an order has been confirmed to ensure project is completed exceeding the client’s expectations and providing maximum profitability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• All work must be carried out within our health & safety procedures.
• Lead by example demonstrating the companies Vision, Mission and Points of Culture
• Coordinate spares to ensure they are available as required and match the clients and companies requirements.
• Organise labour, including travel and accommodation. This to be carried out with the Workshop/Service Manager.
• Make provisions and organise all aspects of the project including lifting requirements, method statements, engineer certification, lubricant/coolant disposal, etc. for successful project completion.
• Ensure workshop work is on track to meet client expectations.
• Make sure all correct technical information is available, communicating with suppliers and the Companies Technical team.
• Communication with the sub-contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure their expectations are met
• Work in an organised way
• Site surveys to develop plan
• Review and submit technical reports, test sheets and other required documentation
• Highlight and potential improvements, upgrades or modifications that could benefit the client.
• Supplier and Subcontractor technical reviews
• All activities to comply with Contract of Employment, unless agreed in writing.

 Requirements

• Good practical medium speed diesel engineering background within in marine or offshore sectors.
• Successful project management experience
• Resourcefulness to find solutions
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, engine manuals and instruction books.
• Ability to apply engineering knowledge for new projects.
• Must be flexible to take on additional tasks to assist company.
• PC literate, including good experience with MS Project
• Team player
