JOB DESCRIPTION
Berthon require a Boat Care Manager  to run a busy cleaning and valeting department.
Requires a Dynamic, enthusiastic, "can do" approach with keen eye for detail.

Knowledge and skills

    Clear and confident communicator with customers, visitors, management and colleagues.
    Reliable, conscientious, presentable and trustworthy.
    Able to use own initiative and to work unsupervised.
    Possess competent computer and administrative skills particularly on Word, Excel and Outlook.
    Familiarity with boats could be useful
    Cleaning experience and an understanding of cleaning processes is required
    Superior attention to detail
    Excellent organisation skills

Duties and responsibilities

•     Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday 0800 -1730 but flexibility to working outside these hours is required as necessary.
•     Manage the day to day running of a busy cleaning and valeting Department including recruitment, training & motivation of the team.  Ensure that all staff follows current Health & Safety legislation at all times.
•     Initiate customer contact and promote the service to increase orders; process orders received from boat owners ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely fashion within budget and to a high standard.
•     Liaise with other managers and departments to ensure that work carried out meets deadlines and launch dates.
•     Process daily timesheets and ensure bookings are correct.
•     Carry out invoicing for all work undertaken and ensure payment is made.
•     Order and maintain a stock of cleaning chemicals and materials from suppliers and ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation regarding use, markings and storage of chemicals.
•     Manage the cleaning and basic maintenance of the marina shower and toilet facilities, ensuring that they are operational and serviced 365 days a year.
•     Work with the yard Manager to Ensure the yard and work sheds are kept clean and tidy
•     Looking after the fleet of company vehicles through weekly checks, carried out to comply with legislation, keeping them clean and fully maintained, taxed etc at all times.
•     Ensure that company RIBs are kept clean and in working order as requested.
